In this Microsoft Visio course, you’ll gain a complete understanding of the user interface and features of this diagramming software. You’ll start with an in-depth exploration of the Visio interface, including managing themes, customizing settings and manipulating windows and task panes. Then you’ll learn the basics of drawing creation, including creating from templates, opening and closing documents, and saving and modifying drawing options.
Once you’ve familiarized yourself with the basics of drawing creation, you can move on to creating and manipulating the elements in your diagrams. This includes inserting, moving, deleting, copying and modifying shapes, as well as selecting, associating and disassociating them. You’ll also discover how to perform advanced operations such as alignment, distribution and the use of 3D shapes to enrich your creations.
Another important aspect of this course is the creation and manipulation of flowcharts, both manually and using imported or linked data. You’ll learn advanced techniques for creating flowcharts efficiently and professionally. In addition, you’ll explore the different types of flow diagrams, learning how to identify and use specific templates and shapes to create simple or complex flow diagrams.
Once you’ve mastered diagram creation, you’ll learn how to customize your working environment by adding templates and standardizing your diagrams. This includes creating new templates, adding custom shapes, and using themes for consistent overall layout. Finally, you’ll discover how to define the orientation and format of your drawings and paper pages, as well as advanced techniques such as adding automatic backgrounds, configuring multi-page printing and creating custom headers and footers.
